Back to the basics Soccer program

The Pro training is a professionally run program targeting kids ages 6 thru 12 years interested in developing their skills beyond recreational level. HVSC believes an early and sound technical skill acquisition is the correct way to prepare kids for a life long love and passion for the game. We will teach the kids the proper way to trap the ball, fake your opponent, jockey etc. It is a one hour a week, seven week instructional soccer emphasizing: Dribbling & Control; Passing & Receiving; and Kicking and Shooting. At the end of every hour, the kids may have the opportunity to play a game emphasizing the skills they just learned.

Our trainers are ex professionals, collegiate and international soccer players. All of our trainers posses a minimum of the MSYSA D license and their love and understanding of the game is at the highest level.

We encourage you to participate in this ‘Back to the basics Soccer program.’”

Please check Pro Training Schedule on this website for start and ending of training.

The program is open to House and Recreational and Select teams, if they are interested in “going back to the basics”.

Weather Cancellations

Sunday, September 17th, 2006

All,

Please show up to your practice or game. Usually the weather near your house is more than likely different than what is at the game or practice field, unless contacted by your coach or other offical. Practice or games will be postponed/cancelled if lighnting is seen in the near distant sky, 20 mins, referees/coaches can make this decision whether to cancel or continue play! Practice/Game play will not be cancelled or postponed for rain!

Lightning and Thunder are considered as the same thing. Where there is thunder the conditions are right for possible lightning. Once Lightning is seen or thunder is heard the game must be suspended for 20 minutes. There must be a 20 minute time period of thunder and lightning free before the game may be restarted. The game may be postponed twice before it must be called and rescheduled. Coaches may make a decision to call the game off earlier if they feel the conditions will not change. Coaches do not have the power to start the game up again before the 20 minute safety time has elapsed.

Rescheduling a practice due to weather is up to your coach to decide.

Rescheduling games due to weather is your coaches responsibility to arrange and contact the field scheduler. HVSC House teams, the home team for that game should contact the field scheduler for rescheduling.

The safety of everyone comes first!
